What does Coaching involve?

How does Coaching work?

Life coaching is an amalgamation of techniques that allow the client an opportunity to review their life, to gain a more precise understanding about what is working and not working, and to set achievable goals. Together you evolve and modify a plan to best suit the client’s needs and relationship with their (unique) environment. A coach provides a safe space for clients to be held accountable to themselves by monitoring the clients’ progress towards the implementation of their action plans. Finally, a personal coach encourages the client to celebrate the achievement of milestones and goals.

How is Coaching different from Therapy?

Personal Coaching or Life Coaching aims to help clients determine and achieve personal, business and relationship goals. Coaching and therapy both focus on helping clients discover their own solutions and have many similarities but they are not the same thing. Personal Coaching is a learning process to help people develop strategies and action plans intended to achieve those goals. A personal coach offers an alternative viewpoint for clients by sharing an outside and unbiased perspective on what they are observing about their clients.

The Coach assists but doesn’t lead the client. It is the clients who take action and are responsible for their own achievements and success. Coaching is, flexible and enabling, not prescriptive or instructional. What is Transformational Coaching?

There is a lot of confusion around the term ‘Transformational Coaching’ but in a nutshell, in the transformational coaching space a coach is more likely to assist a client with self-actualization.

It aims to help people identify and shift their limiting beliefs, behaviors, and thought patterns, enabling them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
