By using WISDOM ROOM® content and services, including the Wisdom Room website, online courses, downloads and services (including personal one-to-one sessions) you agree to abide by the following  TERMS OF USE.


Health Conditions

Although clients with depression and anxiety disorders can use hypnotherapy. The use of hypnosis is not advisable for patients with serious personality disorders, psychosis or epilepsy. If you have a serious mental health disorder or any other underlying (or undiagnosed) physical or mental health condition, or are taking any medication, please disclose before the start of the session. If you have any concerns though, please note that it is your responsibility to seek medical advice first.

Seek Professional Medical Guidance

Wisdom Room products are intended for relaxation purposes only and are not to be used as a substitute for medical treatment. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition or disease. For such issues, Wisdom Room recommends that users seek advice from a qualified medical practitioner.

Safe Listening Space

Please find a safe, warm, space (where you will be undisturbed) to conduct any one-on-one online zoom sessions or to listen to any downloadable MP3 recordings. Please do not listen to hypnosis MP3s or conduct an online session when you are driving, working or doing any activity that requires your full attention. Your sessions are important and so is your time. It is your responsibility to ensure your environment is safe and you have notified any relevant parties.

Appointment Aftercare

It is also important to give yourself enough time and headspace after our work, to process what you have absorbed. Therapy uses energy and can bring up many emotions. Ensuring you have time after a session to reflect and relax is also healthy self-care. Try to make sure you do not have to rush off to another engagement straight after hypnotherapy.

Conduct in Sessions

The Wisdom Room® works with all clients in a professional manner and so politely asks that you do not attend therapy sessions under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Or smoke during the sessions. The Wisdom Room reserves the right to contact your Emergency contact if we believe you are in danger or at risk.

Mental Health Crisis

A mental health crisis is when someone feels at breaking point and needs urgent help. If you feel you are in crisis, suicidal or are in danger of harming yourself then is it imperative that you contact the emergency services for help or go to your nearest A&E department / Emergency Room. A mental Health Guidance sheet can be supplied upon request (for the UK) to help signpost you. If you have any doubts or concerns about your health, you should seek advice from your GP or a medical professional.


Limitation of Liability

Wisdom Room provides all of its products, content and services on an as-is basis only. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, Wisdom Room makes no representation or warranty, actual or implied, with regards to the fitness for a specific purpose of any kind of such provisions. By using such content and services, the user agrees to ensure that products are suitable for their deployed use and accepts full and sole responsibility for all consequences, including but not limited to loss, personal injury, loss of revenue and/or damages, arising from such use.

The Client Agrees

To get the best from Wisdom Room Services the client agrees to the Terms & Conditions set out on this page. To engage fully with the treatment process, to as honest and open as possible and to complete any agreed ‘homework’. Wisdom Room can provide no warranty or guarantee that any treatment given will be effective for the client’s personal and particular circumstances, and that the client will not hold Wisdom Room responsible for the failure (in whole or in part) to achieve the client’s goals for the treatment.

Wisdom Room® Agrees

To provide services to the client solely within our area of professional competence and based upon the information supplied by the client to the bets of our abilities. Or to refer or signpost any 1-2-1 patient who is deemed unsuitable for treatment. To ensure full confidentiality of all client discussions, case notes and records. To conduct ourselves at all times in a manner in accordance with our professional status and the Code of Ethics of the International Hypnotherapy Association.


Technical Difficulties

If technical difficulties are experienced, during an online session (such as a computer or internet breakdown) Wisdom Room will endeavor to contact a client via phone, email or text (SMS) message instead so that an alternative format can be established. Or the session can be rescheduled at another time. No charge is made for such instances and the client will receive the full-time allotment for their paid-for appointment.

Payment Terms

When booking an online course, product or 1-2-1 appointment, payment is requested in advance. Only then will you be sent an online link to access the services or products. Normally, you will be emailed an invoice and asked to make a secure online payment by debit or credit card.

Receipts: Receipts will be emailed to you upon successful payment.

Declined Payments: If a recurring payment, such as a subscription or installment plan payment, is due and we are unable to process the charge, we will attempt to contact you (e.g. by email and/or SMS) with guidance as to how to complete the payment.

Cancellation Policy

If for some reason you can’t make a 1-2-1 appointment, please give as much advance warning as possible (by either email, phone or SMS) to allow someone else to have your slot. Please note a 50% cancellation charge may be levied on sessions cancelled under 12 hours of the scheduled appointment time and payment is expected in full if a client misses an appointment without any notification.

If you are late attending an online session, Wisdom Room will stay online for 15 minutes to allow for delays, but if you do not make contact within this time it will then be presumed missed or forgotten and then cancelled. You will be charged the full session fee for this.

Content Usage

All Wisdom Room written, audio and visual content on this site, such as hypnosis MP3s, audio meditations, video recordings and downloadable PDFs or ebooks (and any other resources) including items marked as ‘free’ or otherwise, is copyright of Eggleton Communications Ltd (Trading and trademarked as Wisdom Room).

Users are not permitted to copy, edit, distribute or use for commercial purposes any such content, without the explicit consent of Jane Eggleton. The Wisdom Room takes seriously any abuse of these Terms of Use.

Client Information

All transcripts, therapy emails and personal client notes made by the therapist are owned by Wisdom Room. Please do not post extracts or whole copies of any communication on social forums or to third parties.



The work we do together is completely confidential. All sessions online and offline are private and no Zoom conversations are recorded by Wisom Room without permission. All client records are locked and password-protected. The Wisdom Room ensures that all information is kept safe and protected. No details of any client session will be disclosed to a third party without the express written consent of the client. As a member of the Hypnotherapy Association, I abide by their strict Code of Ethics.

Emergency Contact

Please note that before 1-2-1 appointments, you may also be asked to complete a client form and supply an emergency contact number. Wisdom Room reserves the right to use your Emergency Contact if we believe you are in danger or at any risk. This is covered by the code of ethical guidelines for therapists as set by our governing bodies and focuses on keeping you as the client and others safe from harm.

Duty of Care

Client information is only shared where there is a legal requirement for Wisdom Room to do so e.g. where the Children’s Act applies or a court order is issued. Or if it becomes apparent that there is a genuine risk for your welfare, safety or the safety of others. Then Wisdom Room has a duty of care to raise that concern with the appropriate professionals or your emergency contact, to support you further. Of course, we will always attempt to explore this and discuss with you first.


Data Storage

Wisdom Room only collects and records information that is necessary to help our clients. This includes contact details necessary to contact clients and or guardians/emergency contacts. We also record notes via direct conversations, email correspondence and agreement form (either online or on paper) necessary to help the progress of the treatment of our clients. All client records are retained for 7 years (after the last treatment) which is the length of time suggested by my professional body and insurance company.

In handling this information, Wisdom Room is bound by two sets of rules, the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and our professional body (the National Hypnotherapy Association) Code of Ethics.

Email Communications

Users agree to receive email communications relating to the services that they register with in accordance with the Wisdom Room Privacy Policy. Consent may be withdrawn at any time using the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in an email received (where applicable), or by contacting the Wisdom Room at support@wisdomroom.co.uk

Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time, effective upon posting of an updated version of these Terms on the Service. You should regularly review these Terms, as your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your agreement to such changes.
